It is important that nonprofit organizations have a core of individuals and organizations that want to be identified as its members. This breadth of support helps ensure that the organization can withstand the ebbs and tides of funding streams, and provides a base for advocacy and volunteers. During this hands-on workshop each participant will develop a chart of potential stakeholders and target markets for membership, graph the benefit-exchange that each market provides and needs, and design a membership brochure, appeal letter, annual meeting and newsletter template. Participants will also be given take-home tools for ongoing use including a resource manual and tool kit with a CD of forms.
